Description: This contractor may arrange, and/or perform an unlimited amount of building trades on commercial property. They may also do commercial specialty contractor work.

Examination Information: The test fee is $85 each time it is taken; the passing score is 70%. There are 80 multiple-choice questions. It is an open-book test. See Education Requirements for more information.

Continuing Ed Requirements: Continuing education is required by contractors endorsed as commerical contractors. For information on the requirements see Continuing Education Requirements-Commercial Endorsements.
Bonding Requirements: Level 1 - $75,000 Commercial bond / Level 2 - $20,000 Commercial Bond
Insurance Requirements: Level 1 - $2 Million aggregate / Level 2 - $1 Million aggregate
Prerequisites: Responsible Managing Individual (RMI) must take a 16-hour training on Business Practices and Law from an approved CCB providers. Approved Training Providers

Additionally the (RMI)must pass an exam.

Level 1: Key employees must have 8 years of construction-related experience.

Level 2: Key employees must have 4 years of construction-related experience.

Renewals: Prerequisites:
A completed renewal application, fee, Commercial bond, and Certificate of Insurance are required before renewal can be processed.

It is recommended that forms and fee be submitted at least 3 weeks in advance of license expiration.
