Description: Licenses required for teaching career and technical education courses within school district career and technical education programs approved by the Oregon Department of Education. These programs are generally supported by federal Carl Perkins funds distributed by the Oregon Department of Education.
Statutes, Rules, Ordinances: OAR 584-042
Duration: CTE I and CTE II ¿ 3 years;Five-Year CTE ¿ 5 years
Fees - application, exam, etc.:  $100 (first application and renewal)
$130 (Civil Rights and Ethics Test)
$59 Fingerprint processing (first application)
$100 Essential Academic Skills (if admitted prior to master¿s degree)
$25/mn up to $125 late fees
Responsible Agency: Teacher Standards and Practices Commission
Continuing Ed Requirements: CTE I: Must complete either teaching methods coursework or obtain career work experience as defined by individual professional development plan.
CTE II and Five-year Professional Technical License must complete continuing professional development:
Prerequisites: Include but are not limited to:
1. Co-application from a qualified school district;
2. Evidence of Career and Technical Education expertise;
3. Experience reviewed by state approve instructor appraisal committee
