Description: Geologist in Training (GIT) do basically the same work as a Registered Geologist (RG), but under the supervision of an RG. A GIT is gaining experience to meet the eligibility requirement for sitting for the practice portion of the National Board exam in order to become an RG. Only an RG may stamp documents. GIT works under the supervision of an RG. Experience required is based on degrees above the baccalaureate.
